Our Mission
The West Florida Baptist Institute is a Bible
and Church Training institution established in 1983 under the
ownership and direction of First Missionary Baptist Church of
Pensacola, Florida. The purpose is not to make preachers, but
to train people as ministers, missionaries, and Christian workers.
It is not the purpose of the West Florida Bible
Institute to teach secular courses. Those courses taught that
are not Bible-related are all of a practical nature and are offered
to assist the Christian worker in his or her field of labor.
A word from our President,
"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that
ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having
done all, to stand." Ephesians 6:13
The semester has come to
an end. The theme for the ceremony was, "and having done
all... stand." We had six students receive degrees and
for that we are excited. Willa Mae Blue, our
first lady to receive a Master, graduated this May 8th. We thank
all of those churches and individuals who have supported us with
prayers and financially. As usual I encourage you to come visit
with us, and this is an invation not only for those looking to
study, but also for those who are interested in teaching or volunteering
for the many things that go on here at the West Florida Baptist
Insitute. The semester has just ended but that does not mean that
the work stops here at West Florida. The printshop ministry remains
in operation all year long. I encourage you to pray for us.
